Recently, the opening ceremony of the TEESTA Bridge project in Bangladesh, undertaken by China Construction Seventh Engineering Bureau, was successfully held. The event was reported by more than 10 mainstream media outlets in Bangladesh, including Jamuna TV, with over 2 million views.

Nearly 10,000 people attended the opening ceremony, including Asif Mahmud Sajib Bhuiyan, consultant of the Ministry of Local Government and Rural Development (LGRD) of Bangladesh, Dr. Saud Ayid Alshammari, Director of the Asia Region of the Saudi Fund for Development (SFD), Md. Abdur Rashid mia, Director of the Local Government Engineering Department (LGED) of Bangladesh, China Construction Seventh Engineering Bureau, local political and business representatives, media reporters, and others.

The Bangladesh TEESTA Bridge project, the largest bridge of its kind, was built by the Bangladeshi government's engineering department. The 1,490-meter-long bridge spans the Teesta River, known locally as the "River of Life," connecting the Gaibandha and Kurigram districts. The project's completion and opening to traffic has ended local reliance on ferry transportation, shortening travel time between the two banks by over three hours and benefiting three million people.

As a supporting lighting project for the bridge, LEYOND provided a high-quality lighting solution! The project utilized Leyond's Petrel streetlights, which offer high luminous efficacy (180 lumens/W), high uniformity, and over 80% energy savings!
